AI: The Future Of AlphaGo After Beating The World’s Elite Go Players

Google restated its position as the top most artificial intelligence company, just like last year in the Google I/O conference. Alphago google, a type of Al, scored a historic victory over one of the best Go players, Sedol Lee, in one of an exceptionally complex board game from ancient China.

DeepMind, a British start-up company, acquired by Google, attained great achievement by developing Alpha go which defeated Lee by 4-1 in Alphago match. The Alphago sedol match win was a great achievement because computer techies believed that they had got something which could not be attained for decades. However, the Go community did not accept this win and world’s topmost player, 19 years old, Ke Jie, challenged that he could defeat Artificial Intelligence Alphago. While Alphago advertised its win throughout the series, but Ke kept a low profile, but now Alphago google 5 has defeated the best player of the world three times in a row after Google DeepMind challenge match.

Google played its last match in the summit

However, Google DeepMind announced that it was their last event Google match at Future of Go Summit. The reason as stated by Demis Hassabis Co-CEO was that AlphaGo AI had reached the highest possible apex as a competitive program. The research team of AI Go has new plans in mind and they have planned to put their significant amount of energy into more extensive challenges like developing progressed techniques which can help scientists in finding solution to complicated problems like curing fatal diseases or reducing energy consumption to a great extent. They are also looking forward to help scientists discover revolutionary innovative resources. According to the Co-CEO of Google, if they are able to dig up substantial firsthand knowledge and stratagems in these fields also, then they could achieve outstanding breakthroughs.

Launch of Alphago teaching tool

Success of AI Alphago has conveyed overwhelming revolution in the Go world, as seen in the Go match where Ke Jie played using unconventional tactics, which was previously, used by Google AI. Even though Google will not compete in the game anymore, but Google DeepMind go is going to issue data of its last 50 games, in which AI played against itself for Go players to analyze new strategies to improve the game. The company is also planning to launch an Alphago download teaching tool on the basis of Alphago Google, in which Ke Jie will collaborate and help players whereas fans will get the opportunity to view the game through Alphago’s lens.

Although DeepmMind is not planning to release goAlphago extensively as they believe google go AI will work on developing research which will benefit other people. DeepMind also plans to publish papers on technique of developing latest versions of Alphago and alphago masters and they want other enterprises to benefit and gain knowledge from their extensive research.
